How do I book a tour?

Use the booking planner on the tour page. It creates a prefilled WhatsApp request with your date, party size and preferences. Your booking is confirmed once the team replies with availability and the tide-based start time.

When does the tour start?

The start time changes with the tide and may fall in the morning or the afternoon. The team runs one departure per day and confirms the best available time for your date.

Is the tour suitable for a day trip from Mahé or Praslin?

On many dates yes, but not on all of them. Some departures begin before the first ferry arrives or finish after the last one leaves, so confirm the tour time before buying fixed ferry tickets.

Is the tour family friendly?

Families are welcome. The team generally does not recommend the tour for children under three because the sea can become choppy. Ask for date-specific advice when you request your booking.

What happens if the weather changes?

Safety comes first. The team may delay the start, adjust the route or offer another available day. Confirm the current cancellation and refund terms with the team when you book.

What should I bring?

Bring drinking water, reef-conscious sun protection, swimwear, secure water shoes and a camera or phone. Waterproof bags and safety equipment are provided.

How much weight can a kayak hold?

The published maximum is 170 kg combined per kayak. If your group is close to or above this limit, tell the team in advance so they can arrange the right seating.

Is the park entrance included?

No. L’Union Estate charges a separate entrance fee that is paid at the park gate. Ask us for the current rate before you travel, because park fees can change.

Do I need to be able to swim?

You should be comfortable in the water. Life jackets are provided and worn throughout, and the route stays close to shore, but part of the experience includes swimming from a beach reached by sea.

Can I keep my phone with me?

Yes. Every kayak gets a waterproof dry bag, and the transparent hull makes for unusual photographs. Bring a floating strap if your phone is valuable to you.
